Monzir and Afifa
Working extensively in the Montreal Muslim community at Muslim summer camps and weekend schools, Monzir and Afifa -- husband and wife -- noticed that kids they were teaching had little access to modern Islamic literature that was catered to their interests and needs.
In early 2008, brother Monzir and sister Afifa decided to work on a Muslim kids' magazine to provide Muslim kids all over the world with fun, yet educational literature that not only catered to kids aged 7-13, but also wanted to create an identity for Muslim kids everywhere.
In 2009, the first issue of RecessKids Magazine was published and was a hit with Muslim kids! Alhamdolilah, every year the RecessKids fanbase is increasing and brother Monzir and sister Afifa strive to improve upon each edition to give kids the best reading material they deserve!
